ALTAR CREATIVE is looking for inspired, motivated and adventurous game developers to join its new media and interactive content production team. We are a creative agency specializing in creative marketing content for video games. We work with game-makers to explore and expose their game worlds with engaging and immersive creative marketing. We are also creators and producers of new media content focusing on novel, experimental and interactive ways of telling stories. Exploring Game Worlds is our dictum, and working at Altar Creative means working in a close-knit collaborative team of creatives, developers and marketers. It also means working with highly talented and passionate people in a friendly and engaging atmosphere. 

Reporting to our game director and senior programmer, our junior programmer will work in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, developing and implementing gameplay, AI and behaviour features that meet the requirements of the project’s creative and technical vision.


  • Analyze and understand the project’s technology needs to assess and plan its production.

  • Plan, develop and Implement features and tools in collaboration with the programming team.

  • Take initiative to suggest and/or develop improvements to the design, vision and workflow to maximize the project’s potential and quality.

  • Write tutorials and train the production team in using your tools and features.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with C++ programming, including good knowledge of object oriented programming.

  • Experience with modern AI technologies, pathfinding, decision tree and rule based machine learning.

  • Autonomous, flexible and comfortable with agile development processes.

  • Passionate about video games and creating novel gaming experiences

  • Ability to work under pressure in a quality-focused environment.

  • Experience with Unreal is a big plus.

Our expected start date for our hire will be the end of September 2019. This is a full time position.
