When Ubisoft asked us to create a campaign of behind-the-scenes videos for Far Cry Primal, there was an opportunity to break, or at least bend, the typical developer diary formula.

It involved getting a van-load of developers away from the comfort of their cushy studio and hauling them an hour outside of civilization. Then, we got them to ruminate on their game, and what life was like for their primal ancestors.

It turned out to be a great idea - Not only did we get some great insight for our campaign, but without the interruptions of game studio hustle and bustle, the developers were able to make some important production decisions over lunch. Bonus.
